All handmade by one of our talented sutlers! This is a replica of Capt. Porters mirror of the 81st New York Infantry from Oswego County. The original is in the Fort Ontario collection in a sealed case so work was done from a photo. The picture with the mirror being held shows how it was designed to fit the thumb for holding. The original Porter mirror has a mirror on the front and on the back as does our reproduction! The original has one good and one cracked side. See last picture for the original. Approx. 5.5 inches across.
